PAL is now recruiting and training caring mentors to work with the youth at our facilities. This is a one-on-one relationship between the mentor and youth. Each mentor will spend one hour a week with a youth in our after-school, evening or sports programs. Mentors and youth will be engaged in a number of fun activities that may include: reading, games, sports, music, arts and crafts, customs, language and traditions. The goal of the program is to have fun while motivating youth. This is not an academic tutorial program. All potential mentors go through a screening process and a criminal background check before acceptance into the program.
